Sunset Sanctuary House emerged as a safe haven for animals often overlooked—hard cases facing behavioral challenges, histories of neglect or abuse, chronic health conditions, advanced age, or the heartbreak of being returned time and again. Each animal welcomed is an opportunity to lead with compassion, offering comfort, dignity, and unwavering care to those who need it most. Built on the belief that every life deserves a gentle farewell, Sunset Sanctuary House ensures animals spend their final days surrounded by warmth, love, and respect. By maintaining the foster home construct for hospice rescues, animals spend their final days not in a cold, clinical environment but in a comfortable and loving home.  Alongside them, our Twilight Friends—healthy rescues—play a meaningful role, providing companionship that brightens hospice animals’ days and reminds us all of the joy, connection, and healing that animals bring into our lives.
